My name is Maddy! I am a graphics artist that specializes in graphic design and illustration. I also have an interest in animation. California is where I grew up, then I went to Brigham Young University Idaho and graduated in 2023 as a graphic design major. I’ve tried many kinds of art like print-making, sculpting, and painting, but I mostly create digital imagery. I always love using creative new ways to bring my art to life. I am very shy and don’t like to talk much, but I will talk forever about my interests which are animals, pets, animated movies, and theme parks. I am also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, which has encouraged me to make artwork that uplifts people and makes others smile. I’ve always enjoyed creating cartoon animals the most because of how much joy it brings me and others.
I’m working full time as an in-house graphic designer for a local printing company. The art I do for them is not posted by me, because it belongs to other companies. You can read my episodic webcomic, “Smudge,” on Webtoon. I post a comic about every other week.

My passion project I work on in my free time is writing a chapter-based graphic novel series with my Smudge characters. It is still in progress. I will give updates when I get close to finishing the first book.

I sometimes make animated videos. I will admit my Youtube is inactive at the moment. I’m still learning to animate and they take a while to make, but when I do get the motivation to post, they’ll be on my Youtube channel.

You may have noticed the little guy that is all over this website. Out of all my original characters, Smudge is my most favorite I have created. He was created in December 2014 when I was in middle school for a comic art project. Ever since then, I’ve drawn him non-stop. He is a rottsky(rottweiler-husky mix) and he loves playing, digging, making magic with his magical boat oar, and soda pop. Smudge has a lot of my personality traits and I express myself through him a lot. We are both shy and soft spoken, but can be enthusiastic and playful around friends.

For digital art: Clippaint Studio, Ibis Paint X, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Indesign. For animation: Blender and Ibis Paint XFor traditional art: I doodle with pencils and pens(but I have experimented with other mediums like painting, charcoal, and sculpting clay).
I am not on many social media websites because I don’t have the time or energy to manage a lot of them or chase an algorithm. I find it better gaining an audience by making what I enjoy, and others who enjoy it too will find it. I pretty much just post comics on Webtoon and animated videos on Youtube. The links to those are on the home page. If you’d like to get in touch with me, email me at [email protected]
